The right time to sell!


Dear Old-Montreal residents,

A few weeks ago, I shared with you the fact that we have noticed the real estate market has regained some ground in the historical sector. In fact, this springtime seems to be favorable, compared to the same period last year.  

During the first quarter of the year, we have registered significant statistics in Ville-Marie: a 24% rise in sales, the condominiums median price gaining 5%, without considering the fact that the average sale delay has been 8 days shorter. Again, numbers speak for themselves. It seems that buyers are again interested in our neighbourhood. So those who have postponed their decision to sell might be now interested in selling again. The Old-Montreal sector could be better placed, compared to others: its tourist attraction and its proximity of the Montreal City core are making of Old-Montreal one of the most favorite residential site. But, new constructions are competing and buyers are more interested in renovated units.  As evidence for this assertion, the last renovated unit has been sold at $469.00 per square foot, compared to $359.00 for a condominium with a parking lot, without any special view, that has not been renovated.
